About the Product:

The Cheesecake & Co. bakery presents the velvety combination of tart and cake in the form of cheesecakes, of which they provide more than 15 different flavours, with the blueberry flavour taking the lead as their signature item. All of their cheesecakes are 100% eggless.

The varieties include Cheesecakes, cream cakes, and brownies. Their orders are made fresh from scratch using only natural ingredients. They keep adding new flavours every month.

Founders & their story:

Himanshu Gakhreja and Shreya Agarwal, a supporting couple. Himanshu was dropped out of school to pursue his passion in baking. He belongs to a Vegetarian family.

He worked in a bakery shop for 2.5 years and received the knowledge of baking industry. However, his father didn’t allow him to work there & made him handled the family business.

Soon after his marriage with Shreya, they convinced his father & started their business of baking cheesecake from two rooms. Within a short span of time, from a small team of 2, they grew up to a team of 90 within a year.

About the Company:

Started in 2018, “Cheesecake and Co.” offers its consumers a winning mix of exceptional quality, flavour, and 100% eggless cakes. Cheesecake and Co. has fulfilled 2.5 lakhs orders, and its kitchens are located in Delhi and Bengaluru.

Their USP is that they bake 100% eggless cakes. Their total outlets are 19, out of which 17 in Delhi NCR & 2 in Bangalore. Some of their outlets are physical and some are cloud kitchens.

Their mission is to provide eggless & superior quality baked cheesecakes. Till now, they have completed more than 2.5 lakhs orders.

Revenue: 

They made 6 crores in FY 21-22 from 15th July till 31st March. The last month sales were 1.94 crores including the profit of 20%.

Founder’s Ask:

1 crore for 2% equity at the valuation of 50 crores.

Offers by Sharks:

  • Anupam’s offer was 50 lakhs for 5% equity & Rs. 50 lakhs debt at 15% interest. 
  • Aman’s & Anupam’s combined offer was Rs. 50 lakhs for 5% equity (2.5% for each shark) and Rs. 50 lakhs debt at 15% interest. 
  • The last offer by Aman’s & Anupam’s was Rs. 1 crore for 5% equity (2.5% for each shark)

Counter Offers by Founder:

1 crore for 3% equity, which was later extended to 3.5%

Final Deal: 

They do not take the offer.
