80 Wash, a pioneering washing machine, revolutionizes laundry by cleaning clothes in just 80 seconds without using water or detergent. Developed by founders from Chandigarh, this new-generation washing machine is an industrial model specifically designed for high cloth volumes, making it ideal for places like hospitals where changing sheets is resource-intensive.
Traditional front-load washing machines consume 15-20 litres of water per wash and have a cycle duration of 50-60 minutes. In contrast, 80 Wash not only cleans but also removes stains, odors, and bacteria, making it a highly efficient and sustainable laundry solution.
The technology behind 80 Wash is the Immediate Supersaturated Phase (ISP) Steam Technology. Notably, it requires no water for operation. This innovation has led to a patent filing for ISP. The founders, who initially met at the Centre for High-Frequency and High-Power lab, emphasize that their product is research-driven and tailored for industrial rather than residential use. In essence, 80 Wash presents a game-changing approach to laundry, offering speed, efficiency, and sustainability, particularly beneficial in environments with high laundry demands.
About the company:
Addressing the global concern of excessive water usage in laundry, especially in densely populated countries like India, 80WASH presents a breakthrough solution for hotels, salons, hostels, and hospitals. With patented ISP (Immediate Supersaturated Phase) technology, it achieves a remarkable 80-second treatment, effectively cleaning, disinfecting, and removing odors from linens.
Utilizing non-UV radiations to power up steam for the supersaturated phase, 80WASH eliminates stains without water, ensuring zero infections and refreshing results. A mere half glass of water (100 ml) is sufficient to wash 7 kg of clothes in just 80 seconds. In the B2B segment, 80WASH LLP provides assessment and installation services, generating revenue through capital costs and annual maintenance costs (AMC). Hospitals, in particular, benefit from significant operational expenditure savings, achieving a return on investment (RoI) in 10 months. With a positive cumulative profit expected in the 4th year, 80WASH LLP offers a compelling economic value proposition for sustainable and efficient laundry solutions.
Revenue:
Over the last 2.5 months, 40 units of the innovative washing machines have been successfully sold. Priced at 26,999 exclusive of taxes, the manufacturing cost for each machine stands at 19,500. These machines have found their way into various establishments, including salons, hospitals, and hotels.
The product line includes a 3 kg version, offered at a discounted rate of 25,000, and a 7 kg version available at 55,000. The average selling price across these variants is 40,000. This demonstrates a strong market reception, highlighting the value and versatility of these machines in catering to the specific needs of diverse businesses.
