About the Product
Eco BioTraps revolutionizes mosquito control with a product that requires no electricity or recharging, emitting zero fumes and odour. This innovative solution, built on scientific principles and validated by leading experts, offers a sustainable approach to safeguarding lives from mosquito-borne diseases. Utilizing recycled materials, Eco BioTraps not only controls mosquito populations but also contributes to environmental conservation. This commitment to sustainability underscores their mission to protect communities while minimizing ecological impact.
Using Eco BioTraps is simple and hassle-free. By adding water and placing the trap away from direct sunlight, whether indoors or outdoors, individuals can effectively target mosquito breeding grounds without the need for complex installations or ongoing maintenance. The secret to Eco BioTraps’ effectiveness lies in its attractant, which mimics the conditions of ideal mosquito breeding sites. By specifically targeting female mosquitoes, the trap disrupts the breeding cycle, preventing eggs from maturing into adults.
Lasting up to 30 days, the Eco BioTraps remain effective until excess water leaks out, eliminating any risk of becoming a breeding ground themselves. This ensures continuous protection against mosquitoes without the need for constant monitoring or intervention. With Eco BioTraps, communities can now take proactive measures to control mosquito populations in a safe, environmentally friendly manner. By breaking the cycle of mosquito breeding, Eco BioTraps not only protects lives but also promotes healthier and more sustainable living environments for all.

Mosquito-borne diseases claim the lives of 10 lakh people annually. To address this pressing issue, there’s a critical need to halt mosquito breeding. Eco Biotraps offer a sustainable solution for this problem. By simply adding water to the biotrap and placing it outside homes and offices, individuals can disrupt the mosquito reproductive cycle effectively. This innovative solution has been rigorously tested and approved by scientists. An initiative funded by the ICICI Foundation saw the installation of 3000 Eco Biotraps in Dharavi slums, starting in June 2022. This endeavour yielded promising results, with Dharavi experiencing an 80% reduction in mosquito-borne diseases over 15 months. The Eco Biotraps utilize government-approved insect growth regulators and attractants as ingredients.
Each Eco Biotrap covers an area of 400 sq ft, providing comprehensive protection. With its brand name “Eco Biotraps,” this solution represents a significant step towards mitigating the health risks posed by mosquito-borne diseases in communities worldwide.
About the company
Introducing Eco BioTraps, a for-profit social enterprise on a mission to safeguard lives from the deadliest predator on the planet: the mosquito. Born from a commitment to harnessing science, rather than relying on conventional methods like swatters, they have developed innovative solutions to disrupt the mosquito breeding cycle and shield communities from the threat of deadly diseases.
While masks and vaccines have offered some respite from the challenges posed by Covid-19, the ongoing menace of vector-borne diseases such as dengue and malaria present an even graver danger. Remarkably, vaccines for these killers are still lacking. Conventional approaches like electric mosquito traps, fogging, spraying, repellents, and swatters provide only temporary relief, merely deflecting the issue rather than addressing its underlying causes. Enter Eco BioTraps, offering a revolutionary solution: simple, biodegradable devices designed to disrupt the mosquito breeding cycle at its core. Their approach represents a significant paradigm shift, moving away from mere mitigation towards proactive intervention.
In a world besieged by disease-carrying mosquitoes, it’s time to embrace a radical approach. By leveraging the insights of science and garnering validation from leading experts in the field, they are poised to tackle the mosquito problem head-on. Eco BioTraps cater to a diverse array of environments, including hospitals, construction sites, educational institutions, hotels and resorts, IT parks, residential spaces, and public health sectors. With their innovative solutions, they are empowering communities to make a tangible impact—one BioTrap at a time.
